St.Mamas village

St.Mamas ia s a small village built in an amphitheatric layout, located on the eastern slopes of the Troodos mountain, on the eastern foot of Zalaka mountain, 25 Km north of Limassol.

St.Mamas, named after a Christian martyr,is famous for its Commandaria wine from which has undoubtedly won its privillage to be included among the "14 traditional Commandaria production villages".

During your visit, you can take the opportunity to learn abour the process of producing and taste the wine with the unique aroma which bacame the symbol of Cyprus.

Doros village

The name Doros, associated with the Greek ancient woed Doris(forest), surraounded by almond treed, grapevines and fruit orchards is a traditional village with exceptional scenery.

visitors enjoy walking in the narrow little streets, admiring the restored old stone built houses,and the hospitality of people offering a sense of community.

Katerina sweets

This local workshop is located in an eys catching area with panoramic views of the Cypriot nature. It hosts a small traditionally-style coffee shop, where a drink can be enjoed with an accompanied "glyko", whilst watching the glyka (spoon sweets) being made behind the glass panels of the factory.

We continue our excursion to the neighbouring village, Koilani.

Probably taken its name from the fact that it is built in a valley, close to the river bank, literary surrounded  by vineyards, it is one of the most productive wine villageds in Cyprus, maintening its cultural heritage.

Famous for its annual grape and wine festival, the village attracts hundreds of people to sample its grape derivatives, desserts and wine,and its also famous for its 'glitzisto'(sweet pastry).

The museum of Viticulture is a sample of koilani's traditional redidence.       
Tools  of Viticulture are exhibited in the three halls of the museum. these tools are the result of an age-long practical need and of experience that the human mind conquered.    They are samples of folkore culture, of the ingenuity of the era's people, and they are part of the cultural inheritance of Cyprus. Many of these tools are still used today.       
                                                                                           

         Vouni village

Vouni village as its name implies, isbuilt on a low mountain. 
It has been a vine village since ancient times with sagnificant contribution to the wine production industry.                                                                             
The beauty of the scenic narrow streets, the stone build churches and the tradtitional taverns compose the scenery of this conservative beauty.
