KTIMA GEROLEMO

Ktima Gerolemo winery is located about 1 kilometer north of the village of Omodos at an altitude of 900 meters, in the heart of the wine producing area. We will be guided to a family winery and get introduced to the principles of organic cultivation of the vine.

Wander through the cobblestoned alleys of one of Cyprus’s most stunning stone-built villages, a place where medieval charm meets a living legacy of fine art and Chantilly lace. Stepping into this architectural gem feels like walking directly into the pages of a storybook.

Continuing our journey, we wander through ageless cobblestone alleys into the heart of a traditional wine village. Our destination is a beautifully restored medieval wine press, where you’ll be guided through the principles of indigenous and foreign grape varieties before enjoying a curated wine tasting session.

OMODOS VILLAGE

Nestled on a sun-drenched mountain slope, Omodos is a jewel of the Cypriot countryside, where a verdant carpet of vineyards gives way to a masterfully framed mountain landscape. This picturesque village is a maze of narrow, cobblestone alleys and flower-filled courtyards, where traditional tiled roofs and ornate wooden gateways evoke a sense of timeless charm. At its heart lies a magnificent central plaza, surrounded by quaint stone houses and historic churches that perfectly capture the rustic soul of Cyprus. 

The Monastery of the Holy Cross

Rising majestically in the heart of the village square, the Monastery of the Holy and Life-giving Cross is the true pride of Omodos. As a cornerstone of Cyprus’s cultural heritage, this historic site pre-dates St. Helen’s arrival in 327 A.D., holding centuries of tradition, faith, and mystery within its ancient walls.
